Trent Reznor - One of few major-label musicians who seem to have realized that a lot of people aren't paying for CDs, Trent figured he might as well give away his new album, The Slip, for free on his website. Turned out to be bargain of the year, since the album sounds worth paying $15 for.
We pick the paragons of 2008, the pinnacles of the awesomest of this year's cream of the crop. These are all folks that made us sit up in our La-Z-Boy recliners and yell, "Hey, that's one baaaad motherfucker!"
