Voices of Strength at the Walker Art Center

Maria Helena Pinto (Mozambique) rehearses Sombra, and Bouchra Ouizguen (Morocco) for Madame Plaza Tuesday morning at the Walker Art Center. These are part of "Voices of Strength" contemporary dance and theater performances. In their performances, these women artists deal with expectations about traditional domestic roles and "appropriate" topics for onstage performances. The shows will be performed October 10-13.
