The new Minneapolis hot spot Union is a union: of outstanding cocktails, thoughtful food, and a lively vibe. It is also a union of three tiers of restaurant, each with its own concept. At the underground level, Marquee is Union's dark, slick, and clubby bar, which doesn't even open till 10 p.m. The main- level dining is meant to be more formal than the wildly popular rooftop, with its amazing retractable glass top. The memorable share plates (like seafood and charcuterie) are available at both levels. Standout entrees included a moist and delicate trout with ham and artichokes and duck breast.
