Somos Peru: The Tour

Somos Peru is a quaint and colorful new restaurant in the Windom neighborhood of south Minneapolis, serving traditional Peruvian dishes. We especially liked the arroz con mariscos, a Peruvian take on paella; the aji de gallina, a brilliantly colored dish of shredded roast chicken; the ceviche (three kinds, served with accoutrements like sweet potatoes, yucca, and a sort of Peruvian corn nut called cancha); and jalea, which was all the components of the ceviche but fried light and crispy.
