Novak uses the 'through the viewfinder' method of photography. She shoots on a digital camera that is pointed through the viewfinder of an old Argus 75 camera.
Jaimi Novak was supposed to have her first solo exhibit this month, showing her unique photographs of old signs. But it's not going to happen. The Minnesota Center for Photography announced this week that it is closing, which means that Novak is out of luck. Her photos are still worth looking at, however, even if they're on a computer screen rather than a wall. You can see more of her photos online at http://signsoftime.carbonmade.com/.
