Rusty Taco, a Dallas-based, fast-casual chain, recently opened a Minneapolis franchise on Hennepin Avenue in Northeast. In an attempt to objectively weigh Rusty's tacos against the heavy-hitting competition in the area, we sampled all 12 of Rusty's taco varieties to see which ones made the grade, and which ones didn't. As it turns out, the basic meat tacos--beef, pork, and chicken--were underachievers. But the grilled fish, black bean, and--surprisingly--fried chicken tacos were standouts. PHOTOS BY EMILY UTNE.
