Nightingale: The Tour

1 of 13

Nightingale's owners, the husband-and-wife team of Jasha Johnston and Carrie McCabe-Johnston, noticed that weren't many places to go for a late-night meal in Minneapolis. So the bartender and chef, respectively, opened their own place, in the heart of Uptown. Their new hotspot opens at 4 p.m. and keeps the party going till 2 a.m., even on Sunday. The menu, divided into snacks, bruschettas, and small plates, is eclectic with a French twist. Bruschettas include a jazzy version with roasted oyster mushrooms and quail's eggs. The seafood small plates, like scallops and mussels, are some of the best things on the menu. Or get into the meat of the meal with the braised pork shoulder or a tasty burger. And don't forget drinks - Nightingale has a happening bar scene, including great, reasonably priced cocktails. PHOTOS BY ALMA GUZMAN.
