Minnesota's first same-sex weddings in Minneapolis

Minnesota's first ever same-sex weddings were held in the rotunda at city hall Wednesday night and throughout the night with mayor R.T. Rybak personally marrying 42 couples. The first couples to tie the knot were Margaret Miles and Cathy ten Broeke at 12:01 AM, immediately followed by Al Giraud and Jeff Isaacson who with many other couples, families, and friends, continued the party into the wee hours at the official reception at the Hotel Minneapolis.
