Openers The Pines had some trouble grabbing the chatty crowd's attention before headliner Mason Jennings took the stage. Once Mason was up front, it was a whole different atmosphere inside First Avenue. Jennings' strong and captivating set included new songs, covers, two encores, his father joining him on stage for a song, and a heavy infusion of The Pines and a few friends in the set.
