Cafe Maude: The Tour

1 of 24

The popular Cafe Maude in the Armatage neighborhood has opened a sister restaurant in Loring Park, in the utterly transformed space once occupied by Nick and Eddie's. The new space boasts the same casual atmosphere and sophisticated food and drinks. The bar program, headed by Adam Harness, formerly of Town Talk Diner and the mixologistat Maude's original location, is outstanding. It's a major draw for the Loring Park branch, which will need to cater both to a younger audience and a big-time Sunday brunch crowd from the Walker and Basilica. Dinner hits lots of high notes: Try the fried quail with pancetta and corn, bone marrow appetizer, steak frites with truffled fries, and our favorite, the "brick" chicken. PHOTOS BY ALMA GUZMAN
