Ananya Dance Theater's "Daak"

Ananya Dance Theater's "Daak"

From stolen Native land in Minnesota, special economic zones in West Bengal, India, to the maquiladoras of Tijuana, Mexico, "Daak: Call to Action," is an artistic exploration of crossing borders and what it means to be a woman of color in the midst of land violations and environmental injustices. The integrated dances are reflections of how these experiences pass through the body. This show is performed by Ananya (formerly Women in Motion), a dance theater troupe composed entirely of women artists of color.
