Zombie Pub Crawl and Glam Doll Donuts to host donut-eating contest
Everyone knows that zombies have a palate for brains, but did you know they've also got a taste for doughnuts? Well, sort of.
This year, ahead of the first-annual World Brain Eating Championships, the Zombie Pub Crawl organizers will determine some of the brain-noshing contestants by hosting a competition for the best doughnut eaters.
On Saturday, September 28, a couple weeks ahead of the drink-your-brains-away progressive ZPC9, the Triple Rock Social Club will host a contest to see who can chow down on the most doughnuts in a three-minute time span. The first-place winner of the doughnut-eating contest will receive $100.
Even better than that prize? Glam Doll Donuts will supply the sweets, so it might be worth the $10 registration fee to stuff your face with as many of those bad boys as possible even if you don't win.
The competition is limited to the first 30 people who think they can stomach insane amounts of donuts... and at a later date, brains.
Yes, there are actual brains involved in the World Brain Eating Championship (what'd you think this was?) on the night of ZPC9. AZ Canteen -- famed for its unique dishes and its Bizarre Foods-hosting owner Andrew Zimmern -- will prepare pork brain tacos for the lucky trio of ultimate doughnut eaters.
The doughnut-eating contest winners will be joined by world-champion Joey Chestnut and a few other formidable competitive eaters battling brains and guts for the $1,000 grand prize.
Register for the doughnut-eating contest by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org. The registration fee for each contestant is $10, but it's free to watch the fun.
