Zeke's Unchained Animal opens today in Longfellow
The new restaurant with the funny name opens today from 4 to 10 p.m.
The oddly named Zeke's Unchained Animal has been on deck to open since New Year's, but it looks as if today it is finally ready to invite guests to come in and get off the chain. Located off East Lake Street in the Best Neighborhood in Minneapolis, the modest space will serve mostly pizza and burger-type fare. The menu also lists such bar food favorites as mozzarella sticks and wings, but then it goes off in an interesting direction.
How would you like a basket of bacon with spicy cream cheese? Or perhaps you would prefer a spinach and chickpea veggie burger made in house? In fact, most of the food on the menu is made from scratch.
The restaurant itself is long and lean, with a bar and a couple of high-top tables. For now, beverages will have to stick to sodas as Zeke's continues to work on its liquor license. It will open today and Friday from 4 to 10 p.m. for dinner service. Saturday and Sunday it will open for brunch at 11 a.m.
