Earlier this month, BK threw the media into a tizzy with its "Whopper Sacrifice" campaign by which Facebook users could earn a free Whopper by "defriending" 10 of their connections.
Facebook responded by suspending the program, when BK was notifying the "defriended" that they'd been dumped for a tenth of a Whopper.
The whole thing seemed pretty lame to me (I'm too much of a curmudgeon to have a Facebook profile), but a Whopper doesn't even seem worth dropping an acquaintance I haven't seen for a decade who's been posting tagged junior high pics. An In-and-Out burger, on the other hand, would be another story...
