Anyone who's enjoyed a meal at Wise Acre Eatery in south Minneapolis knows that the bulk of its ingredients come from its owners farm in Plato, Minnesota.
An upcoming Supper on the Farm meal further closes the field-to-table gap by bringing diners right to the growing site to celebrate the harvest season.
On Sunday, September 18th, starting at 3 p.m. at Tangletown Gardens Farm, Wise Acre Eatery chef Beth Fisher and her team will prepare a multi-course meal with wine pairings selected by the restaurant's manager, Caroline Glawe. Guests will also tour the facilities and learn more about the farm's sustainability minded agricultural model of raising produce, beef cattle, hogs, chickens, and more.
Tickets numbers are very limited. They cost $190--is this the priciest farm dinner around?--and can be purchased from Tangletown Gardens (5353 Nicollet Avenue, Minneapolis / 612.822.4769) and the Wise Acre Eatery (5401 Nicollet Avenue / Minneapolis / 612-354-2577).
