Winterfest ticket giveaway
Winterfest is THE hot ticket of the Twin Cities beer-fest year. A showcase for members of the Minnesota Craft Brewer's Guild, it is open only to Minnesota breweries. They are all trying to out-do each other in a friendly competition for bragging rights to the best beer in the state, so ever brewer brings their best. You'll find barrel-aged creations, warming wintery brews, and other strange and wonderful concoctions of the brewer's art. It's the only place that you will be able to sneak-peek the 25% alcohol Triple Bock from The Herkimer (trust me, it's good).
You can't get tickets. All 700 of them sold out this year in 30 seconds. But the Guild wants you to attend. They have announced a contest to give away a pair of tickets.
The Guild is looking to crown Mr. and Ms. Minnesota Craft Beer - the man and woman who love beer more than anyone else. If you think you fit the description, send them your story for an opportunity to win a pair of tickets to Winterfest.
Here's what the Guild says they are looking for:
To win the tickets, tell us how Minnesota Craft Beer is part of your life and why you best exemplify Minnesota Craft Beer devotion. We want your personal Minnesota Craft Beer story. Maybe you have a full back tattoo of the Summit Brewing logo; or, you met and married your spouse at Fitger's Brewhouse; or, perhaps you only wear shirts you bought at breweries and you decorate with growlers. We can't wait to find out.
Entries can be sent to email@example.com. They must be received by noon on Wednesday, February 1st. There is no information on the Guild website about when winners will be announced.
Winterfest takes place on Friday, February 3rd at the Minnesota History Center in St. Paul. The doors open at 7 pm and the festival goes until 10 pm. In addition to unlimited tastings of great Minnesota beers, there will be food, musical entertainment, and educational programs to enjoy. If you are lucky enough to win, be sure to bring an ID. You'll need one to get in; this is a 21+ event.
