Win Brew at the Zoo tickets for Friday night!
[CONTEST NOW CLOSED] Cancel your plans for Friday night--chances are this will be way more fun. City Pages has four tickets to the Brew at the Zoo event that evening (a $180 value)--and you can win them for free!
Brew at the Zoo is a beer-tasting event at the Minnesota Zoo that lets you sample more than 130 beers from 34 breweries, including Summit, Surly, Lift Bridge, St. Croix, Samuel Adams, New Belgium, Rogue, Crispin Ciders, and Brau Brothers.
Here's more on the event, and the ridiculously simple way you can enter the contest.
The tickets also include a souvenir tasting glass and free appetizers such as slow-smoked pulled pork and smoked seasoned chicken, each served with Summit EPA BBQ sauce. Not only that, but the "Russia's Grizzly Coast" and the "3M Penguins of the African Coast" zoo exhibits will be open till 8 p.m. The Brew at the Zoo event runs from 7 to 10 p.m. this Friday, August 12.
To have a chance at winning all four tickets, just leave a comment below telling us what your favorite zoo animal is and why, in 25 words or less. (Be sure to leave your email address in the "post as" box. It won't be visible.)
We'll pick a winner based on completely arbitrary and subjective criteria and notify you by tomorrow. You have to be at least 21 (photo ID will be required at the event) and able to pick up the tickets at City Pages in downtown Minneapolis. (If you don't win, you can still attend. Tickets are $45 in advance and $55 at the door. Get more information at the Minnesota Zoo website.)
