It's shaping up to be a frigid weekend, but that doesn't mean you can't bundle up and venture out for a beer-soaked good time. There are quite a few releases happening this weekend, but top billing goes to Ward 6's anniversary party.
They're kicking off the celebration with a Pour Decisions
tap takeover starting tonight at 4 p.m. Head brewer Kristen England will be in attendance to talk malts and hops and to introduce a few beers that have not yet been made available to the public, even at their brewery.
This will be followed by the main event on Saturday at 3 p.m., a party with food, fire, live music and lots o' beer. Mark Sturud from Summit Brewing will be on site pouring Summit Rebellion stout and a few other beers. Mayor Coleman is slated to turn up too, so swing by, have a beer, and order that Reuben if you can.
Tonight's After Workin' Firkin at the Herkimer is a seasonal version of its Eva, a beer brewed with "sugar and spice and everything nice" -- specifically orange peel and honey. The fun starts at 4 p.m. and only stops when the beer runs out.
Just an hour before that, Bent Brewstillery
, a craft beer and small batch distilling company, is launching their line at Grumpy's in Roseville. Pay $4 and sample their Dark Fatha, an American imperial stout and their Nordic Blonde, an amber blonde ale, and chat with the owners.
Get a free Surly of your choice at the brewery this weekend when you bring in a new, unwrapped toy to donate to Toys for Tots. They're adding this year's batch of Surly Smoke to the tap lines this weekend and will also be pouring from a special cask of "tea bagged" Furious with Simcoe hops.
In taproom and food truck match-ups this weekend we have Little G's pizza at Fulton
tonight and Simply Steve's rolling up tomorrow.
It's perfect weather for a pasty so stop by Harriet Brewing
tonight and get one from Potter's Pasties. Moral Omnivore will be parked outside tomorrow afternoon and evening.
Twisted Fork will be at 612Brew
tonight and Lulu's Street Food will be on site tomorrow.
Heavy Metal Grill will be at Indeed
tonight and Little G's Pizza will be slinging pies there tomorrow.
