Weekend brew round-up: City Pages Beer Fest, new Mankato APA, and more
Split a beer? Nah, I'll have my own.
This weekend of brew news is headlined by none other than the City Pages Beer Festival, taking place at 10th and Hennepin in downtown Minneapolis on Saturday, May 31 from 5 to 9 p.m., rain or shine. There will be live music, food vendors, and of course many, many breweries including local staples like Summit and Fulton.
GetKnit Events is taking a charter bus for a North Shore Brewery Tour on Saturday, and the company also just unveiled their Arts and Ales series, which pairs Indeed brews with varied craft activities in the Solar Arts Building.
Further south, Mankato Brewery is hosting live music by the Barefoot Winos. Mankato has also announced a soon-to-release APA, Duly Noted.
Lift Bridge will sponsor a tap takeover on Friday at Patrick's on 3rd this Friday in St. Peter.
Next Wednesday, Herkimer will charter a bus to the Twins/Brewers game and back, supplied with beers and snacks.
As for food trucks this weekend, Indeed will feature Vellee Deli (Friday) and Heavy Metal Grill (Saturday). On Friday, MidNord Empanada will be parked at Fulton and Cajun 2 Geaux will host a crawfish boil on Saturday.
