The Charlie Awards are an annual homage to the men and women who make your fried chicken and biscuits, who pour your Zinfandel and Michelob Golden, who fry it all up in a pan and then clean it all up afterwards. It's a little insider baseball, yes, but it can be a fun night out for those in the biz and dedicated diners who want a little insidery piece of their fave cooks and chefs. Plus, there's booze. Lots and lots of booze.
