Washington State baristas charged with prostitution
It took 40 complaints to Everett, Wash. -- a town of only about 90,000 -- authorities over the course of a year before anyone followed up (hmmm!) on the claims that area baristas were taking it all off, and more, for their customers. Turns out a handful of area espresso stand workers were indeed selling more than coffee to hungry residents. According to the Everett HeraldNet:
Investigators saw the women expose their crotches, lick whipped cream off their co-workers' private parts and pose naked for pictures inside the Grab-n-Go Espresso stand at 8015 Broadway, according to police reports obtained by The Herald on Wednesday.
Detectives also witnessed some of the women charging customers to touch their bare breasts and naked buttocks. Touching of that kind, for pay, falls under the city's definition of prostitution.
The women were charged with prostitution. Go figure!
