Wanderers Wonderous Azian Kitchen: a first look at a work in progress
If you haven't heard all the hustle and bustle yet, Azia Restaurant and A25 Anemoni Sushi bar are scheduled to close later this month. But fear not: Thom Pham, owner and executive chef, is taking his food from Eat Street to downtown.
The concept of the new space is to continue Asian fusion cuisine, but also to be more "accessible," providing both upper-scale options and traditional Chinese dine-in or take-out.
The inspiration for the new space will be based on traditional Asian-American- themed restaurants from the early 1900's, think gold, pagodas, and dragons.
The announcement comes a mere month before the space's anticipated opening. The staff at Azia will follow the restaurant to it's new digs, which will certainly help with the training aspect. Can Pham and crew turn this rubble into a full-scale restaurant in 30 days?
