Did you know tubed meats are as hot as a hot dog right now? Remember how burgers used to have all the fun?
Not anymore. The TC is slinging sausages like nobody's business. Want proof? Head to Summit Brewing on May 6 and see how many sausages you can eat. Seven of the best meat crafters will be there, plus beer. And cookies. And tofu, if you must.
Sample dogs (and charcuterie!) from Bryant-Lake Bowl, Clancey's Meats, Natedogs, Prairie Dogs, Red Table Meat Co., Sample Room, and the Seward Co-op. Tickets are $25, and if somehow you're still hungry, have some chocolate chip cookies and root beer for dessert. There will be veggie dogs and tofu pups for the vegetarian-minded.
Wash it all down with pints of Summit for only two bucks. Proceeds benefit the Twin Cities Daily Planet, a nonprofit news organization.
The meat fête goes down on Wednesday, May 6, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
