Hoppy Anniversary at Town Hall this week
Monday funday, anyone?
Fresh off their silver medal win at the Great American Beer Festival in Denver last week, Town Hall Brewery is kicking off a weeklong celebration to mark their 16th anniversary. It starts tonight at 5:00 p.m. with the release of their Anniversary Ale, an American hopped red ale with chocolate and caramel malt undertones. Pints will be cheaper from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. so plan to get there early.
Here's what's on tap at the Brewery for the rest of the week.
Tomorrow, the brewery hosts its Anniversary Beer Dinner at 7:00 p.m., which is the only event all week that requires tickets. Call 612-339-8696 to reserve seats. Starters include beef dolmades and meatball timbale with Dortmunder lager, followed by a warm sauteed kale and prosciutto salad with shaved Brussels sprouts and feta cheese, paired with Mango Mama. The main course is a bacon-wrapped filet mignon topped with a marinated portabello cap, foie gras, and a demi glace, served with a twice-baked potato, and paired with the Anniversary Ale. Dessert consists of pears poached in red wine and honey paired with Le Grand Whiner. Tickets are $55 and a handful are still available.
On Wednesday, the brewery will host the hotly anticipated release of their most popular infused beer, the Mango Mama. It's a fruity, tropical version of their signature heavy-duty IPA. People waited in very long lines for pre-sale growlers of Mango Mama last week, but the brewery will hold a raffle at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday for a few more. You'll be able to get it on tap at the brewery until the barrels run out, which shouldn't take too long.
At 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, a brand new Belgian Grand Cru called Le Grand Whiner will be released for the first time. It's uniquely aged in a red wine barrel and sounds like a sophisticated sipper for a chilly night.
Folks from Crispin Cider
will be on site at Town Hall Brewery on Friday for the release of their Bourbon Barrel Aged Crispin cider and the week of festivities ends with a nutty bang on Saturday, with the release of Three Hour Tour, Town Hall's complex, velvety coconut milk stout.
