Top 5: North Shore Eateries
Rick Nelson had a great roundup of North Shore eats last week. Inspired by his column and the fact that last time I was in Duluth I ate at both Green Mill and Pizza Luce within 24 hours (not my call, obviously), I pulled together my list of the top 5 North Shore Eateries.
5. Angry Trout, Grand Marais They've been doing eco way before it was chic and have the freshest catch. 4. Lockport Store, Lutsen The 1929 roadside stop serves amazing all-you-can-eat buttermilk pancakes. 3. Nokomis, Two Harbors The best views and fanciest food--book at table here for a celebratory meal. 2. Chez Jude, Grand Marais The tiny house makes a big impact and may be the only High Tea spot for miles. 1. The New Scenic Cafe, Two Harbors The vibe is relaxed but the food is serious. Order the herring sandwich (caught just down the road at the Knife River) and you'll see what I mean.
