Thomas Kim and Kat Melgaard are bringing a little art and Seoul to their new restaurant. The two are working furiously to make their dream restaurant a reality, but they need just a little help to get there. They've created a Kickstarter campaign
to raise some funds and share some delicious perks with their backers.
They explain their intentions for the Rabbit Hole: "We want to fuse what makes dive bars awesome with the great food and feel of Korean pojangmachas (Street Food Tents) to create a whole new experience!"
The two are doing everything themselves, from Kat's keen aesthetics to Thomas swinging a hammer. They are building everything in the restaurant. The funds from the Kickstarter will help them buy the few things left to purchase, like stocking the larder and putting in an exhibition chef's station.
Backers can donate as little as $10 and receive a handwritten Thank You note, all the way up to $5,000 with a whole pile of appreciative opportunities including a dinner for 25. Other incentives include the opportunity to create your own burger to appear on the menu alongside chef Kim's; Rabbit Hole swag like shirts, buttons, and can cozies; and invitations to exclusive events.
