Taco Cat and Eastlake are bringing beer and tacos to your door

itemprop

Everyone knows the life of the party isn’t your witty friend or the one quoting Game of Thrones all night. It’s the beer and the tacos. So why not get on the phone and get more of both?

From their homebase at Midtown Global Market, Taco Cat and Eastlake Craft Brewery will bring the world’s best foods to your front door instead of making you come to them.

With any order from Taco Cat, customers can now also request a 750ml bottle of beer from the neighboring brewery. Then, sit back and wait for that Taco Cat delivery to show up and improve the party. Plus, Taco Cat delivers all orders via bicycle, and the beer bottles are returnable, making it a win for planet Earth.

“A lot of the people who work at Taco Cat are regulars at the bar, and we love their food,” Eastlake owner Ryan Pitman says of the venture. “We figured since they’re delivering anyway, why not send some beer out at the same time?”

It works essentially the same as liquor store delivery, only that Taco Cat brings steaming hot tacos along with. The only catch is that you've got to order during business hours when both are open, and the beer must be ordered before 9:30 p.m. However, as Minnesota slowly rises out of the Dark Ages of beer regulations, this new arrangement now means Sunday delivery of tacos and beer during the big game.

Pitman, of course, recommends trying all of his beers, but his suggested pairings are Devil’s Kettle Belgian IPA with the Outlaw, Nicollet Mauler Black IPA and Mud In Your Eye Brown Ale with the Ruckus, and Blueliner Pale Ale with the the McFly. The bottles are returnable toward a $1 off on future purchases.
