GOOD GRUB!: I'm sick of insects having the upper hand. Mosquitoes suck our blood, termites eat our homes, weevils eat our food, flies are a big pain in the neck--and then when we try to wipe them out with chemicals, we're the ones who get cancer, and then we end up as food for worms. If you're as sick of it as I am you'll appreciate this recipe from the good folks at Iowa State University (www.ent.iastate.edu/Misc/InsectsAsFood.html):
Banana Worm Bread
Mix together all ingredients. Bake in greased loaf pan at 350 degrees for about an hour. Can't find worms at Lunds? Then call the good folk at Grubco (www.herp.com/grubco/grubco.html), (800) 222-3563, where 1,000 worms will cost only $5, plus delivery. And remember, at Grubco "live delivery is guaranteed".
