Sweets Bakeshop offers free cupcakes--every day
Free cupcakes? Sweet!

Sweets Bakeshop just launched a sweet program to reduce their end-of-the-day inventory. Every night, from 6 to 8 p.m. (5 to 6 p.m. on Sundays), guests who drop in and mention the code words "Cupcake Happy Hour" will receive one free cupcake from among the flavors still in the case. Beyond the one-per-day limit, there is no cutoff for how many Cupcake Happy Hours one can attend, so expect a lot of dinner-spoiling to be going on at the intersection of Cleveland and Marshall by those on their way home from work, school, etc.
And here's another way to score a free cupcake from the store:
Sweets will give away five free flavor-of-the-week cupcakes to the first five people who retweet the flavor of the week on Twitter each Monday. Use the traditional RT @SweetsBakeshop format (not the new Twitter retweet button) and they'll send the first five retweeters a direct message redeemable for the free cupcakes. (@SweetsBakeshop will notify its followers when the magic number has been reached.)
Here's the shop's list of daily flavors if you want to whet your appetite. Among our favorites: Kettle Corn (pictured, cornmeal cake with honey buttercream and candied corn kernels), Breakfast (bacon-filled cupcake with maple butercream), and Feisty Goat (made with goat cheese, it's a little like a turtle-cheesecake).
