Seems it's not just Minnesotans who've fallen under the spell of St. Genevieve, the shimmering, golden little Champagne bar by Steven Brown (also of Tilia).
Bon Appetit just finished scouring the country for the 50 best restaurants (tough job) and St. Genevieve made the cut.
From their write-up:
"His bistro is the kind of place you want to go to with a notebook to sit at the bar alone, pretending nothing in the world exists but you, a plate of za’atar-spiced lamb tartare, and a glass of gamay at the perfect temperature."
It's true. If you aren't at least somewhat charmed by this place you might want to look inwardly at your shriveled little heart. What's not to like about bubbles in the noontime, chocolate mousse for an afternoon snack, or eggs Benedict with Champagne hollandaise?
