A tasty way to ring in 2011...

Ditch the sequins for the s**tkickers this year and celebrate New Year's Eve in a barn at Tour de Farm's final dinner of 2010.

Scott and Deborah Pikovsky of Star Thrower Farm in Glencoe are hosting the candlelit meal in their 100-year-old (heated) barn. Scott Pampuch, chef/owner of Corner Table Restaurant, will prepare a five-course meal with wine, paired by Chuck Kanski of Solo Vino in Saint Paul. Here's what's in store:


The feast will have a fall harvest theme: tomato marmalades and jams, roasted pumpkin, post-frost harvested Brussels sprouts, and, of course, Star Thrower's own lamb cheese. Local band Light of the Moon will provide music.

Tickets cost is $175 per person and includes transportation, dinner and drinks. Reservations can be made online at
