Rob Barrett Brews: Ginger green tea
Live long and prosper.
That's really the goal, isn't it? At least according to the Vulcans. The question always has been, how to do that? That's where my ginger green tea comes in. (Ah, the combustible mixture of food and philosophy.) While I don't pretend this drink fixes all of society's ills, I do think it helps, at least a little bit.
If you're unaware of the health benefits of green tea, come out from the rock you're living under. The health benefits of ginger aren't as well known:
1. Great for the stomach and for nausea (morning sickness)
2. Reduces inflammation
3. Lowers cholesterol
4. Helps with allergies
5. Helps with ovarian cancer
and, of course, the prevention of diabetic nephropathy.
So put these two together, their powers combined, and who knows what can happen? I've been drinking it for years, so there you go.
Video recipe after the jump.
Cook well, it's worth it.
