RIP Sauce Pizza & Wine; Little Szechuan II coming soon
After barreling into St. Louis Park this summer and making Minneapolis's Sauce Soundbar change its name to the less-snazzy Cause, Sauce Pizza & Wine has closed.
The owners also operate the adjacent adjacent Rojo Mexican Grill and have decided to convert the prime West End real estate into Rojo overflow for large or private parties. The "Rojo Room" will reopen in late November and accommodate up to 80 people. Also, just in time for holiday gifting, Rojo is offering gift card bonuses--buy $50 in gift cards, get a $10 card for free; buy $100 in gift cards and receive a $25 card.
Even with Sauce's closure, The West End restaurant scene is still exploding. The Star Tribune reports that St. Paul's beloved Little Szechuan just leased a spot for a second location next to Kieran Folliard's Cooper Pub & Restaurant.
