Rep. Erik Paulsen working at White Castle
Ashwin Madia might dream of one day walking into a local White Castle and seeing his former political opponent Erik Paulson behind the counter flipping burgers. If that happens this Friday, between 11:30 and 12:30 at the fast-food joint at 96th and Lyndale in Bloomington, Madia won't get the sort of smug satisfaction he might have desired: The congressman didn't lose his job representing Minnesota's Third District, he's simply helping White Castle celebrate National Hamburger Month.
We'll see if Paulsen fares better than Dave Rife, one of the owners of White Castle, who accidentally destroyed 4800 while on the job at Undercover Boss. In any case, it seems unlikely that he'll have much time to discuss public health care or clean energy between customers.
