Posters & Pints, the art show with suds, tops our list of beery weekend events


This weekend brings us the longest day of the year, a brimming Minnehaha Creek, and a ton of beer-centric events. Slip on a poncho and some waterproof shoes and hit the town.

On Saturday Uppercut Boxing Gym will host "the first poster show, beer tasting, and fundraiser mashup in history," dubbed Posters & Pints. Dangerous Man612Day Block, Indeed, Lift Bridge, Steel Toe, and more are all involved in the art show/beer tasting. Also on Saturday is the 7th Annual Hay Lake School Beer Tasting in Scandia.

In Victoria, Enki Brewing turns one with an anniversary party at the taproom from noon to 11 p.m. with live music and I Anno Enki Ale, a special brew for the event.

Later in the week, Pig & Fiddle features a Surly beer dinner on Thursday, June 26, pairing five courses with five beers for $60. Harriet is taking over taps at Icehouse that evening as well.

Badger Hill recently shipped out bottles of their Traitor IPA, and they've also introduced a summer seasonal White IPA to the market.

Summit will feature food trucks Butcher Salt (Friday) and Hot Indian Foods (Saturday); Indeed will host Cajun 2 Geaux (Friday) and La Plancha (Saturday); and Burning Bros. will host the 128 Café Food Truck on Friday.
