Pizza Luce, Café Levain plan two gluten-free dinners

Dining out can be tricky for people who eat gluten-free. In deference to National Celiac Awareness month, two local restaurants have planned two events with specials and added menu items catering to those with a wheat-free diet.

The first event will take place Wednesday, May 19, starting at 5 p.m. at the Pizza Luce in downtown Minneapolis (119 N. Fourth St.). During the evening guests can enjoy $2 off gluten-free pizzas and stuffed shells, and $3 Bard's Beer, a brew created by home brewers who are afflicted with Celiac.

The second event will be Wednesday, May 26, from 5 to 9 p.m. at Café Levain (4762 Chicago Ave. S., Minneapolis; 612.823.7111). During this event there will be a special gluten-free menu in addition to drink specials featuring Bard's Beer. Be sure to call for reservations though.
