Landmark downtown Minneapolis restaurant Peter's Grill is likely to close its doors at the end of the month. The nearly hundred-year-old restaurant is part of the fabric of downtown Minneapolis office culture, feeding hungry workers diner-style goods. This wouldn't be the first time the restaurant has teetered on the edge of closing up shop for good, but is this the end of an era?

The restaurant closed in 2006 only to reopen under new ownership.

Stepping inside Peter's Grill is like being transported to another time, when a clubhouse sandwich paired well with a martini or three.

In recent times, the restaurant has joined the chorus of others who are losing business to the booming food truck trend. Owner Peter Atsidakos told James Norton at the Heavy Table, "There are 14 of them here on the street every day and most of our business is at noontime."

So, get in there and get your Peter's burger fix now, as there likely isn't much time left.
