Tickets are still available for Minnesota's Outstanding in the Field farm dinner event, which takes place on Tuesday, July 26, in Delano.
The "restaurant without walls" event celebrates local ingredients and producers by featuring a guided farm tour followed by a family-style meal filled with locally grown food. Diners eat in the farm field along a single, extremely long table. Throughout the meal, the area farmers and producers who contributed to the menu talk about their professions and answer questions. The organization says "our mission is to reconnect diners to the land and the origins of their food, and to honor the local farmers and food artisans who cultivate it."
We are back to Riverbend. We are back with Scott. Scott likes to show us a different farm every year. This year we said "Scott, let's go back to one of those awesome farms we have been to before." Riverbend is the awesomest.
Tickets are limited and are priced at $180 apiece (plus tax), which includes a wine and appetizer reception, a four-course meal with wine pairings, a farm tour, producer discussions, and all gratuities.
