Outstanding in the Field hosts large, outdoor farm dinners
In the April issue of Experience Life, Dara Moskowitz Grumdahl introduces us to the Santa Cruz-based "restaurant without walls" Outstanding in the Field. The organization has been around for a decade now, traveling around the country come summer to organize and host large dinners on various local farms.
"Why eat dinner in a farm field?," Moskowitz Grumdahl writes. "Because it's the most literal way to connect people with their food."
It appears tickets are still available for this year's sole Twin Cities-area event, which will take place at Riverbend Farm in Delano on July 31 with a five-course, wine-paired dinner prepared by The Corner Table's Scott Pampuch. Tix are $191.70 and according to Moskowitz Grumdahl went in a heartbeat for last year's event at Cedar Summit Farm in New Prague.
