Good news for those who have been missing the Northside's well-loved Sauced: Chef Erik Harcey (formerly of the Nicollet Island Inn) is running the kitchen at the new venture, Victory 44. It just opened last Friday, and the space looks just as cute as it did before, but their website doesn't have a lot of info. I'll post more when I get my most pressing questions answered--Will they be reprising the "crack burger"!?!?--but for now, the best source for updates may be Erik's wife's blog, which also reports that Gastronome is likely not opening until August. Victory 44 serves dinner from 5pm-10pm and will soon serve lunch. They're closed on Sundays, except for Mothers Day.
