Northbound Brewpub now serving brunch, filling growlers
Northeast Social and Northbound Brewpub. We like 'em both and visit often, but we couldn't help but feel there's been something missing from two of our best-loved neighborhood spots. One's a go-to for date night dinner and the other for anytime casual drinks, but there's no doubt they could also draw a crowd for brunch. Fortunately both Northeast Social and Northbound Brewpub have recently made the wise decision to add the mid-day meal to their weekend lineup.
Here are more details on their hours and what you can expect to see on their respective brunch menus.
Its sister restaurant Eat Street Social
has been serving weekend brunch since day one, so it only makes sense for longer-running Northeast Social to follow suit. From 10:00 a.m to 2:00 p.m. every Saturday and Sunday, you can drop by for dishes like classic eggs Benedict, a daily-changing omelet, or for the more lunch-leaning, a stacked Dago sandwich with roasted red pepper, chutney, smoked gouda, and fried egg.
Northbound Brewpub's brunch is also 10 until 2 but is served on Sunday only. They have apple or raspberry French toast, housemade biscuits with sausage gravy, and smoked salmon eggs Benedict, among other brunch-y items. The brewpub is also now officially doing growler sales, so get a new one ($16) or refill your old one ($12) before you head home. Or if you prefer a bloody to a beer at breakfast, Northbound's smoked poblano version is a real treat.
