The first ever Northeast Riverfeast -- a new food, drink, and music festival put on by the Northeast Minneapolis Chamber of Commerce, is taking place Saturday at the Historic Grain Belt Brewing Complex.

The event, which runs from 1 to 6 p.m., will feature live music from Joey Ryan & the Inks, the San Souci Quartet, and Romantica. But more importantly, at least for those of us at the Hot Dish, is the list of vendors who will be debuting their various new ventures at this inaugural Riverfeast.

Here's who you can expect to see there:

Food vendors will include Stanley's Northeast Bar Room, Mac's Industrial, Kramarczuk's Deli, the debut of Stray Dog -- Bulldog NE's new catering business, and the unveiling of a new catering service from Jax Cafe. Each vendor will have at least one item for sale that will be exclusive and specially prepared just for Riverfeast. We're told that Stray Dog's specialty item will be cupcakes made with Grain Belt Nordeast beer.

Tickets are $10 for adults whether they are purchased in advance online or at the door, and the first 250 attendees in the gates will get a free Riverfeast commemorative glass. The ticket price also includes a free pint of beer or glass of wine for customers 21 and up. That said, the council stresses this is a very family-friendly event, and there will be plenty of activities for kids to enjoy too. Admission to the event is free for children under 12.
