Muddy Pig to host Arts & Craft Beer Boutique on Sunday
Beer drinking and Mother's Day shopping: Why didn't someone think of this before?
Mothers' Day is right around the corner. And just in time, the Muddy Pig serves up something that both you and Mom will truly treasure -- beer and artful gifts. On Sunday, from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., the bar will be collaborating with Founders Brewing Company and 14 local artists to present the Arts and Craft Beer Boutique.
"A beer buzz and shopping on a Sunday afternoon. Why not?" says the event's creator and co-owner of the Muddy Pig, Dawn Danylezenko.
Her homemade jewelry will be among the works being sold, which includes everything from pottery to jams, soaps to teapots. Exactly the things Mom will enjoy opening just two short weeks after the event. And as if jaw-dropping gifts and specials on craft beer weren't enough, free gift wrapping will be offered with each purchase.
Danylezenko hopes to have more Arts & Craft Beer Boutiques in the future. She has personal relationships with many artists and believes that unique venues like this are a great way to get one's work seen by a new audience.
It may at first glance seem like a contradiction to look for a thoughtful gift for your mom while drinking beer, but who says buying a Mother's Day gift has to be a chore?
