Moto-i sake class this Saturday

itemprop

I was at Moto-i last week, and I have to say, there are so many things to love about it: the speakeasy-like digs, the Asian soap operas, the chili-lime roasted peanuts and the Japanese chicken nuggets...

But Moto-i's biggest distinction is being the first American sake brewery, and the thing that impressed me the most about my experience was the time our server took to explain their sake offerings. She went deep into details about rice milling and the Nihonshu-do sweet-dry scale and happily answered our questions. I don't know that I've ever had a server spend so much time at my table...well, ever.

If you want to geek out about sake, Moto-i is offering a day-long sake seminar this Saturday (and the first Saturday of each month hereafter). Attendees will receive a brewery tour, intensive training on sake grades, styles, and flavor profiles and tasting of 20+ types of sake. The cost is $150.00 and it includes lunch.
