Minnesota Cooks program all day tomorrow at the fair
Minnesota Cooks brings together local chefs and farmers at the state fair to discuss sustainable agriculture and demo delicious examples of our local bounty. Every hour tomorrow (Tues.) from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. will feature two different demos. Chefs like Grand Cafe's Jon Radle and the Strip Club's JD Fratzke will pair up with farms like Thousand Hills Cattle Co. and Pastures A Plenty to make things like grilled lamb and salad of confit of duck, all in 45 minutes. Check out the lineup. We're digging on the hazelnut rice orzotto on tap from Judi Barsness of Grand Marais' Chez Jude and the Monte Cristo sandwich courtesy of the Red Stag's Brian Hauke. The event takes place at Carousel Park near the grandstand.
