Mayo Clinic Square is getting good medicine with Old Town Pourhouse, opening spring 2016

Old Town Pourhouse = beer. Lots and lots of beer.

Old Town Pourhouse = beer. Lots and lots of beer.

Got a sports boo boo? Well, you'll have to lay off your training schedule and keep that leg elevated for a while anyway. Might as well do it with a beer in your hand!

Old Town Pourhouse is a Chicago-based concept with three other properties, two in Chicago and another in Gaithersburg, Maryland. The Old Town Pourhouse philosophy is beer, lots and lots of beer — 90 or so domestic and imported brews. "Beer is a staple of life," quoth they.

We like these Pourhouse people already.

The menu will be composed of American classics, naturally, with lots of appetizers, salads, sandwiches, and burgers. You know there will be screens, and lots of 'em, and they're boasting "Clear visual pathways linking Hennepin and First Avenue, providing tenants and guests convenient, safe access with materials such as glass, stone, metal panel, and scrim."

Scrim? It's a fabric. Don't worry so much. Have another beer.

Coming spring 2016
