During the week leading up to Thanksgiving, many home cooks find themselves searching for alternative recipes to accommodate the various needs of their dinner guests. Gluten-free, vegetarian, diabetic -- it takes all kinds. But if you're wondering how you can make your fast-food-addicted cousin, double-dog-daring sister, and meat enthusiast uncle more comfortable around your Thanksgiving table this year, perhaps you should consider this kooky recipe for stuffing made out of hamburgers -- specifically ones from White Castle.

Slider stuffing: It's what you crave?

Here's what you'll need:
10 regular White Castle sliders, hold the pickles
1 1/2 cups celery, diced
1 1/4 tspn. ground thyme
1 1/4 tspn. ground sage
1 1/2 tspn. ground black pepper
1/4 cup chicken broth

Method:
Tear burgers into small pieces into a large mixing bowl with the celery, thyme, sage, and black pepper; toss to combine. Add chicken broth and toss again. Stuff the mixture into the turkey cavity just before roasting. The recipe makes about nine cups, enough for a 10- to 12-pound turkey or a casserole dish. Note: Allow one White Castle hamburger for each pound of turkey, which will be the equivalent of 3⁄4 cup of stuffing per pound.

In a way, the idea makes sense. It just takes the extra steps out of making traditional sausage turkey stuffing and is a salty, weirder substitute for oyster stuffing. If you want a more visual lesson (with more pithy dialogue) on how to prepare this side dish, check out the video below:
