Build (and eat) a perfect burger at Lucid Beer Burger Bash starting this weekend
As we start to prep our backyards, clean off the patio furniture, and roll out the grills (okay, maybe that's a little premature, but it will happen soon), suddenly burgers are on the brain. They are deceptively simple -- just meat and bun -- and yet perfecting one can take years of practice and tweaking and convincing yourself you need to grind your own meat. If you want to take some of the trial and error out of your burger-making and add a few beer samples to help make the whole process just that much easier, plan to attend the upcoming Lucid Beer Burger Bash.
Here are the details on the multidate class at Saga Hill Cooking and Events in northeast Minneapolis.

events (who also puts on some fun North Shore brewery and St. Croix River Valley winery tours), each three-hour class will be led by chef Marianne Miller, owner of Saga Hill Cooking School. She'll teach participants to do everything from making mayo and mustard to quick-pickling vegetables. There will also be demonstrations on protein preparation, covering everything from frying pork belly to the ins and outs of the most effective grilling techniques. Chef Miller will help students create some tasty side dishes and make an easy bananas foster for dessert, using Lucid's own saison.
Throughout the class, Minnetonka-based brewery Lucid will provide samples of its flagship beers and offer the chance to try some previously unreleased brews. Brewers will also be available for a Q & A session at the end of the class.
