Sixteen restaurants have been competing for over five weeks in the ultimate shakedown competition, the Iron Bartender. Many drinks have been served, and an expert, rotating panel of judges has narrowed the competitors to representatives from just four restaurants.
The finals of the competition will be held on Sunday at Icehouse. We have all the details.
The event will be hosted by Ian Rans from TV's Drinking with Ian fame. Competing bartenders hail from Bradstreet Craftshouse, Cafe Maude Loring Park, Eat Street Social, and La Belle Vie.
The event will be held from 8 to 10 p.m. at Icehouse. Judges will arrive from some of the top craft cocktail destinations around the country: Todd Richman, corporate mixologist from Sydney & Frank in New York City; Bridget Albert, regional director of mixology from Southern Wine and Spirits in Chicago; and Lynn House, chief mixologist from Chicago's acclaimed Blackbird.
Tickets are $10 for general admission and can be purchased here, or at the competing restaurants. Also, because this event is brought to us by the Northstar Bartenders Guild, whose motto is "Bartenders that care," a portion of the proceeds will be donated to Daylight, an organization that helps bring clean water to families in Kenya.
