Indeed announces Art-a-Whirl 2014 party and release of LSD Honey Ale
Taprooms across Northeast are getting in on the Art-A-Whirl action. It's a huge community event, taprooms tend to have some great wall space for displays and, of course, craft beer is a culinary art. It's a natural pairing.
In that spirit, Indeed has announced its plans to get in on the neighborhood celebration with live music and beer, complete with a tented patio area to accommodate more guests. The highlight of the day is the release of LSD Honey Ale, "a kaleidoscopic combination of lavender, sunflower honey, and dates...[with] delicate floral aromas...[and] rich notes of fruit, and honey." Originating at Town Hall Brewery, where headbrewer Josh Bischoff worked prior to Indeed, the beer won a medal at the Great American Beer Festival in 2011 and has since become part of Indeed's line-up.
"Have you seen the show Game of Thrones? Getting the rights [to LSD Honey Ale] was nothing like that," co-owner Thomas Whisenand says. "We expressed interest and [Town Hall] felt that Indeed would be a good home for the beer. It was really that simple."
Indeed will also serve up flagship brews like Day Tripper and Midnight Ryder, and cask creations while supplies last. Food trucks will be parked in the lot, including Hot Indian and Simply Steve's (Friday) and Gastrotruck, Natedogs, and Vellee Deli (Saturday). Eleven bands are also booked, including Black Eyed Snakes, Southside Desire, the Chambermaids, and France Camp.
